National Commander to visit Department of Southwest

The Jewish War Veterans National Commander Dr. Barry Schneider is visiting Arizona May 1-3, 2019 to tour and review JWV posts in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. As part of his Phoenix itinerary, he is scheduled to tour both the Phoenix VA Hospital and State Veterans Home, be honored as Installation Officer at Scottsdale Post 210’s Installation and Gala Brunch, meet Jewish and Veteran groups at Arizona State University (tentative tour the Pat Tillman Veteran Center) and address the Boy Scouts of America Grand Canyon Council Roundtable. Dr. Schneider will also be touring the Tuscon VA Hospital and Home and other activities together with JWV Post 201 in that locale.

 Jewish War Veterans was founded in 1896, which makes JWV the longest running Veterans service organization in our Nation. There are local posts in every state and a few internationally as well. JWV is a Jewish voice for Veterans and a Veterans voice for Jews. Find out more by visiting jwv.org .

 Dr. Barry Schneider hails from Dallas, Texas and a retired Air Force Major with 20 years of active service, followed by 16 years with the Fort Worth Independent School District. He has been active in Jewish War Veterans since 1994, serving in varied local, Department, and national capacities before being elected National Commander in 2018. He is an Eagle Scout and is currently on the National Board of BSA. Dr. Schneider has always been active and in leadership roles in his local religious organizations.
